Job Overview

Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems Sector Test Engineering organization seeks an Antenna Test Engineer to join our state‑of‑the‑art test engineering team. This weekend shift position involves integrating new equipment, developing test software, and working with advanced antenna systems.

Responsibilities

• Integrate new equipment and programs in a state-of-the-art facility.
• Develop test software and test equipment for phased array testing.
• Automate test processes and data analysis through software development.
• Troubleshoot RF issues during tests of advanced antenna systems.
• Support technicians with troubleshooting and training.
• Analyze test data and identify early trends.
• Participate in program meetings to develop root‑cause and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design engineering for hardware and test improvements.
• Maintain sensitivity to cost, schedule, and quality as well as Northrop Grumman policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline plus 2+ years of relevant experience; or a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline.
• Experience with electrical and/or RF test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.
• Professional software development experience using languages such as C#, Visual Basic, MATLAB, Mate, etc.
• Current active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to work weekend shift.

Preferred Qualifications

• Software development experience with RF and antenna systems.
• Test development experience in a near‑field and/or compact antenna range.
• RF test experience and/or antenna test/range experience.
• Familiarity with RF and antenna theory.

Salary & Benefits

Primary level salary range: $87,600 – $131,400 per year. Pay may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and, for certain positions, long‑term incentives. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off.
