Syntronic - A Global Design House in San Jose seeks an experienced Antenna Design Engineer to drive development and integration of antenna systems into consumer products. You will collaborate with in-house and customer teams to define, design, optimize, implement, and test antenna solutions.

The role requires hands-on experience with 5G/LTE/Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth, mmWave exposure, and EMI/desense debugging. Travel may be required to customer sites and manufacturing partners.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of antenna design experience across 5G/LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and IoT.
• Track record of designing small form-factor devices.
• DFM and high-volume manufacturing support experience.
• Experience with prototyping and complex antenna designs.
• Expert with EM simulation tools CST, HFSS, and ADS.
• Exposure to mmWave antenna design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Device Connectivity / Wireless Design team is responsible for the antenna, RF, desense and EMI performance of these products from early concept through high-volume production.

The contractor will work alongside design engineers and cross-functional partners (Product Design, Mechanical, EE, SI/PI, Reliability, and Factory/Operations) to execute deliverables on program timelines

The Role

As an Antenna Design Engineer, you will drive the development and integration of antenna systems into consumer products. You will work closely with the internal inter-disciplinary team and outside partners to deliver key aspects of antenna definition, design, optimization, implementation, and test. You must be responsive, flexible, detail-oriented, and able to succeed within an open, collaborative peer environment.

This position may require domestic and international travel.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of antenna design experience across 5G/LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and IoT products.
• Track record of designing small form-factor devices (handheld devices, smartphones, and/or wearables).
• DFM and high-volume manufacturing support experience.
• Experience with prototyping and implementation of complex antenna designs.
• Expert with EM simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, and ADS.
• Exposure to mmWave antenna design.
• Demonstrated ability to work well within cross-functional teams (PD, Rel, SI/PI, EE).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in antenna, electromagnetics, or a related field.
• Experience with small form-factor devices and sub-1 GHz antenna designs in consumer electronics.
• Hands-on mmWave design and characterization experience.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time.
• Ability to be fungible across RF, desense, and SI/PI engineering.
