Job summary

Gana-A'Yoo Services Corporation (GSC) seeks a Food Service Supervisor to lead kitchen and dining operations at Palmer Station, ensuring high quality, safety, and efficient service in a remote environment.

You will plan menus, supervise Sous Chefs and cooks, ensure HACCP and ServSafe compliance, train staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with the Culinary Manager to deliver reliable dining experiences at a frontier research base.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; culinary arts or apprenticeship program preferred.
• Minimum 7 years cooking experience with 3 years supervisory in high-volume facilities.
• Experience in Antarctica food services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee menu development and production for long-cycle menus.
• Coordinate Sous Chefs, Steward and Cooks in kitchens and dining halls.
• Ensure food safety, HACCP, ServSafe compliance.
• Train staff and manage schedules and payroll matters.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of dining areas.
