Job summary

Bloomberg L.P. seeks a Team Leader to own and scale its annotation operations and governance across AI initiatives. You will manage two capabilities: canonical annotation standards and scalable execution, with SME-driven workflows and vendor oversight.

The role requires leadership experience, technical judgment in annotation systems, and a focus on quality, calibration, and drift detection to ensure data integrity for model training and evaluation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational or program-focused teams.
• Technical judgment in designing or operating annotation systems for ML.
• Understanding of annotation systems and quality methodologies.
• Experience running large-scale annotation with vendors/SMEs.
• Ability to enforce standards while scaling.
• Strong cross-functional leadership in ambiguity-rich environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team for Bloomberg’s AI data annotation.
• Own annotation operations end-to-end with scalable workflows.
• Establish governance and quality mechanisms including calibration and drift detection.
• Partner with AI, Data, and Platform teams.
• Ensure operational strength at scale with workforce strategy and vendor oversight.
• Drive continuous improvement through metrics and root-cause analysis.
• Act as steward of judgment integrity.
