Job summary

JCC Greater Boston is seeking energetic staff to teach animation and art to campers entering grades 4–8. You will lead hands-on activities in drawing, stop-motion, and digital media, helping campers explore creativity while fostering a welcoming, inclusive camp culture.

The role runs eight weeks, June 21–August 20, Mon–Fri, 8:30am–4:30pm, with pay of $18 per hour. Free bus service is available from several communities during the summer season.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or leading art activities for children is a plus.
• Ability to guide projects in animation, paper, digital, and stop-motion formats.
• Strong creativity and ability to engage kids in a fun, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and lead age-appropriate activities in your specialty area.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of campers during activities.
• Create a fun, inclusive environment and encourage skill-building.
• Work with counselors and leadership to provide a cohesive camper experience.
• Maintain supplies and adapt activities for diverse campers.
• Support camp-wide events and large-group programming.
