Job summary

Collier County Realty Corp is seeking an Animal Control Officer to join our Public Safety team in Naples, FL. You’ll respond to animal emergencies, enforce local ordinances, and educate the community about responsible pet ownership, often outdoors in varying conditions.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication with the ability to write detailed reports. Experience in animal control or related fields is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience.
• Fingerprinting required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to write complete and detailed reports.
• Comfortable handling all types of animals.
• A passion for public service, animal welfare and doing the right thing.

Responsibilities

• Patrol neighborhoods and respond to calls about stray, injured, abused, or dangerous animals.
• Investigate welfare complaints and violations of animal control laws.
• Capture and transport animals humanely.
• Provide basic medical care or emergency transport for injured animals.
• Enforce licensing, vaccination, and permitting regulations.
• Educate the community on animal safety, adoption, ordinances, and pet care.
• Assist with public events, emergencies, and disaster preparedness for animals.
• Maintain accurate records in our database system.
