Job summary

LifeLine Animal Project is seeking a Dog Transfer Coordinator to manage logistics for inbound and outbound transfers at the Atlanta campus. You will liaise with partner shelters, rescues, and internal teams to ensure safe, timely movement of dogs and cats, with medical and behavioral checks as required.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 1+ year in animal-related field, strong communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
• 18 years of age or older; one year in animal-related field preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation and passion for animal welfare.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transfer of dogs/cats between LifeLine shelters and partner shelters.
• Work with rescue partners to identify animals suitable for transfer and ensure details are accurate.
• Manage intake and placement of transferred animals with medical evaluations and behavioral assessments.
• Collaborate with Foster and Adoptions to transition animals to foster/adoptive homes.
• Coordinate with veterinary staff on medical treatments and ensure care for transfer animals.
