Animal Care of Davis County is currently hiring for a full-time Shelter Technician in Fruit Heights, Utah. This position provides for the general welfare of animals at the Davis County Animal Shelter including daily cleaning, feeding, enrichment to animals and provides support for adoptions, behavior care, and intake exams. Applications will be accepted through October 15, 2026
This position requires working 10 hr shifts, including weekends, and holidays.
In addition to competitive pay, we offer the following benefits:
Level I: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Level II: High school graduation or equivalent plus one (1) year of full-time employment in veterinary science or animal care.
A combination of related education and experience may be considered.
experience working directly with companion animals in animal welfare, training, or other animal-related fields.
Must have, or obtain within six (6) months of hire date, a valid euthanasia certification including completion of a euthanasia training program.
