Job summary

The City of Hesperia is seeking an Animal Services Supervisor to oversee daily shelter operations, manage front-line staff, and implement programs that promote humane care, sheltering, and adoption.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED with five or more years in animal care and shelter environments, including two years in a supervisory role; coursework in animal science or behavior is desirable. California driver’s license and euthanization certificate referenced.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Five years or more of experience in animal care and shelter environment, including care, handling, sheltering and adoption.
• At least two years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Desirable coursework or training in animal science, animal behavior, public relations, or related field.
