Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s preferred.

• One year of professional experience with media, public groups, and volunteers is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating community events, including off-site adoptions, foster care, and volunteer programs.
• Recruit, orient, and recognize volunteers and foster families; maintain records.
• Coordinate animal placement and conduct basic behavioral evaluations for proper shelter placement.
• Take digital photos of animals for adoption and keep shelter websites updated.
• Develop and assist with media, social media, and print educational materials.
