Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in animal science, animal behavior, animal management, communications, education, marketing, or related field, and one year of animal handling experience; or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.
• CPDT-KA certification required within one year of hire.
• Euthanasia Technician Certification Course must be completed within six months of hire.
• Valid Florida Driver License and MVR review per policy #6-7; MVR infractions may disqualify.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, design, plan, coordinate, and implement animal outreach programs.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of staff and volunteers; ensure compliance with standards.
• Plan and execute large-scale events and community partnerships for education and outreach.
• Manage social media and public communications for department initiatives.
• Evaluate shelter programs and ensure safety, humane care, and adherence to policies.
