Argenta in Manhattan, KS is seeking an Animal Care Technician to join our team. You will perform daily animal care, collect data, assist veterinarians, and ensure well-being of animals in our facility.

The role requires a high school diploma, experience with animals, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to be on call including weekends. Teamwork, reliability and clear communication are essential as you support on-site care and data recording.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with animals, both large and small.
Experience operating large farm equipment.
Ability to work with others and communicate effectively.
Detail-oriented and analytically driven.
Willingness to be on call, including weekends.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Clean and perform daily chores under the direction of senior staff and veterinarians.
Collect research data and samples per study protocols and Good Documentation Practices.
Assist veterinarians in observations and procedures and report abnormalities.
Promote and maintain animal well-being including feeding and basic care.
Repair, maintain and operate equipment/machinery.
Perform administrative duties supporting animal care and site functions.
Record information timely and accurately.
Build relationships with key individuals in the organization and beyond.
