Position Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide care for puppies’ nutritional, behavioral, environmental, and maintenance needs.
• Perform opening, daily, and closing procedures in the kennel.
• Maintain cleanliness through procedural checklists.
• Monitor health of puppies and kittens, keeping proper records.
• Ensure proper pet nutrition, socialization, and cleaning.
• Assist veterinarian with examinations, care, and medications.
• Train and coach less experienced Animal Care Technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Training

High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience/training, or equivalent.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Standing, walking, sitting (occasionally), traveling (occasionally), finger dexterity, climbing, bending, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, talking/hearing, visual acuity, lifting/pushing/carrying (up to 50 lbs.).
