Job summary

Labcorp in Greenfield, IN is seeking an Animal Care Technician to provide daily care for animals, maintain clean facilities, and assist with record-keeping and general support tasks. The position is based in Greenfield with a Monday–Friday 6:30am–3:00pm schedule and weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• No minimum qualifications.
• 6 months or more of related animal care experience or relevant certifications
• 6 months or more of demonstrated consistent work history of reliable, structured, and dependable professional performance

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for all species housed within the animal facility (feeding, watering, observing health)
• Change cages and bedding; clean and sanitize animal rooms, pens, and equipment
• Operate automated cleaning equipment, including cage washers and tunnel washers
• Dispose of animal waste and soiled bedding according to sanitation and safety standards
• Maintain accurate documentation of all cleaning, sanitation, and husbandry activities
• Observe animals for signs of illness, injury, or distress and promptly report concerns
• Assist with facility support tasks such as inventory, record keeping, and laundry duties
