Naples Zoo Inc. seeks an Animal Care Professional for Mixed Mammals in Naples, FL. The role involves daily husbandry, feeding, enrichment, and training across species like giraffe, zebra, capybara, and more.

The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, handling varied terrain, and frequent guest interactions through keeper talks and events. Preferred candidates have AZA facility experience and an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Zoological Science or related field.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work weekends, weekdays and holidays.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and work on varied terrain.
• Experience in AZA accredited facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily husbandry, feeding, enrichment and training of animals in Mixed Mammals.
• Maintain cleanliness of animal habitats and assist with veterinary procedures.
• Operate pool pump systems and procure browse off site.
• Develop and implement training plans and keep daily records.
• Interact with guests during keeper talks, Zoo Camp and events.
