Job summary

CityVet and Ruffit in Mansfield, TX, is seeking an Animal Care Attendant - Bather to join our pet-loving team. You will help bathe, care for, and monitor the well-being of our animal patients in a friendly, clinic setting.

You’ll work with a caring, pet-loving staff and enjoy a supportive environment that values teamwork, reliability, and empathy for animals and their owners.

No prior experience required; we provide on-the-job training and opportunities to grow within CityVet and Ruffit.

Qualifications

• Lift 50 lbs to waist height.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
• Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide all animals with housing, bathing, walking, food, water, bedding, toys and other mental stimulation and enrichment, social interaction with humans and, where appropriate, members of own species.
• Monitor health, physically and behaviorally, and rapidly identify any issues or changes that may require special action and report the information to supervisor immediately.
• Accurately record and maintain patient records while the animal is under care at the facility, including vital sign measurements.

Our Animal Care Attendant - Bather (ACA Bather) acts as the primary care provider for all animals under our supervision. The Animal Care Attendant - Bather works to ensure the professional, conscientious, compassionate care of all animals under our care at the facility are met by meeting both the physical and behavioral needs of all patients, with a focus in animal bathing.

Essential qualifications:

A day in the life:
