Job summary

Destination Pet LLC is seeking an Animal Care Attendant for The Ohana Pet Resort. You will keep pet areas clean, provide meals and water, and monitor pets’ health and happiness while ensuring a positive guest experience for all furry clients.

Evening, weekend, and holiday availability are required; prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus, and a compassionate, calm demeanor is essential to thriving in a busy, pet-loving team.

Qualifications

• Experience in kennel or animal care is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and engage with animals.
• Able to stay on feet for long shifts.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Keep pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
• Serve meals and fresh water like a 5-star pet resort concierge.
• Monitor health and happiness of every pet guest, report any issues.
• Supervise playtime and assist with brushing and bath time.
• Handle laundry and belongings to keep areas clean.
• Make tails wag— that’s the real goal here.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position: Animal Care Attendant (The Ohana Pet Resort)

Pay starts at $16.00 – $17.00/hour DOE + tips.

What You Should Know

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and, ahem, “accidents” is part of the gig.
• Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.

Reporting To

General Manager.

What You Bring to the Table

• A borderline‑obsessive love for animals.
• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus, but if you’re brand new and eager to learn, we want to meet you!
• A cool, calm, and professional demeanor—even when a Great Dane steals your mop.
• A willingness to get your hands dirty (literally).

What You’ll Be Doing

• Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
• Serving up meals and fresh water like a 5‑star pet resort concierge.
• Monitoring the health, happiness, and, yes, poop of every pet guest—because details matter.
• Reporting anything unusual to the General or Assistant Manager.
• Supervising playtime, tail‑wagging, and the occasional game of fetch.
• Assisting with brushing and bath time.
• Handling laundry and belongings so every pet has clean snuggly stuff.
• Making tails wag— that’s the real goal here.
• Other duties as assigned.
