Job summary

Community Animal Inn & Spa in Shrewsbury, MA is hiring a full-time Animal Care Attendant to join our busy boarding and daycare team. You will provide daily care for dogs and cats, monitor pet health and behavior, and help maintain clean, safe housing for all pets.

The role requires at least 1 year of hands-on animal experience, effective communication, a team-oriented attitude, and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience working with animals.
• Familiarity with common pet care techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be 18 years or older and available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Available year-round.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily care for dogs and cats, including feeding, cleaning, exercise, and enrichment.
• Monitoring pets’ health and behavior and promptly reporting concerns to supervisors.
• Ensuring safe, clean, and comfortable housing areas for all boarding and daycare pets.

Community Animal Inn & Spa is a busy and growing boarding and daycare facility located underneath Community Animal Hospital, which provides a wide range of veterinary services to our community. We are seeking a Full-Time Animal Care Attendant to join our dedicated team immediately.

What You’ll Do:
As an Animal Care Attendant, you’ll be an essential part of our clients’ pets’ well-being. Your role will include:

• Providing daily care for dogs and cats, including feeding, cleaning, exercise, and enrichment.
