Wicksteed Park is hiring seasonal Animal Care Assistants to support our animal department and customer service team. A Level 3 Animal Care qualification is required for this role, and you will help maintain high standards of welfare and safety.

You will promptly assist visitors, engage audiences with animal experiences, and ensure the safe, humane treatment of all animal livestock. You’ll also help operate attractions day-to-day and keep careful records including daily check sheets.

Animal Care Assistant

We have some fantastic seasonal opportunities for anyone who would like to gain experience in Customer Service and Animal Care. Please note that a Level 3 Animal Care qualification is required for this role.

As an Animal Care assistant in the animal department at Wicksteed Park you will have good attention to detail when it comes to animal welfare and health and safety. You will have a proactive approach to prioritising tasks, ensuring our animals are looked after to the very highest of standards.

Working in the Animal Care team offers you the opportunity to:

Working Hours

We are looking for people who can work flexibly. This is a seasonal role, and hours will vary with the needs of the business. There is availability for weekend work and hours during the week during peak season.

Pay will be in line with National Minimum Wage.
