Job summary

Northwind Pork, a Keystone Cooperative company, is seeking a dependable worker to join our swine production team. You will be responsible for the health and production of our swine and for maintaining clean facilities to ensure a safe, healthy environment for the animals.

The role requires the ability to work outdoors and indoors, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Experience in animal husbandry helpful but not required
• Ability to work both independently and in a team

Duties and Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to

• Daily care of pigs
• Breeding swine
• Administering vaccinations, as needed
• Power-washing and cleaning swine barn

Skills and Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
• Animal husbandry skills, or the desire to learn how to effectively care for pigs
• Ability to work alone and within a team
• Communicate any potential issues that may be identified with the swine
• Previous industry experience helpful, but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Working in outdoor and indoor elements, not always climate controlled
• Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, and standing repetitively
• Ability to lift, push, pull and drag up to 50lbs unassisted
