Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a relevant field.
• BLS Certification issued upon hire.
• Registered as a Radiographer by ARRT upon hire.
• Licensed as a Medical Radiographer through the Texas Board of Medicine upon hire.
• Registered Technologist within 24 months.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Angio Tech Lead, you will operate diagnostic equipment and perform a variety of technical angiography procedures. Every day you will provide patient orientation, explain procedures, and deliver pre‑ and post‑diagnostic care until test completion. This includes positioning patients, calibrating equipment, and meticulously documenting findings. To be successful, you will demonstrate technical proficiency in angiography, strong attention to detail for equipment operation and documentation, and excellent patient communication skills to ensure comprehensive diagnostic imaging tests.

• Supervisory and leadership skills needed to mentor other technologists.
• Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of Angio equipment, including examinations requiring contrast agents and complex procedures such as biopsies and drainages. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and employees.
• Knowledge and practice of ALARA standards when performing exams. Knowledge of patient transfer and positioning techniques.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects and meet deadlines.
• Demonstration of ethical and professional conduct.
• Provide general oversight of inventory, scheduling staff, and managing board/schedule.

Job Requirements

• Three (3) years of experience.
• BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association, upon hire.
• Registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R), upon hire.
• Licensed as a Medical Radiographer through the Texas Board of Medicine, upon hire.
• Registered Technologist Vascular Interventional Radiology, or Registered Technologist Cardiac Interventional Radiography, within 24 months.

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center – 1,045 bed facility located in the Texas Medical Center, part of a joint venture with Baylor College of Medicine.

Pay Range

$45.26 - $67.32 per hour
