Job summary

Kettering Health Dayton is seeking an Angiography Technologist to assist physicians during cardiac and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role requires ARRT in diagnostic radiology, an Ohio radiology license, BLS, and ACLS within six months of hire.

Expect long periods of standing in a fast-paced lab with on-call duties requiring a 30-minute response time. Successful candidates will have recent radiology training, cath lab experience preferred, and

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during cardiac or peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures (pacemakers/ICDs).
• Perform radiographic work on various equipment.
• Support patient safety in the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP lab.
• Rotate on-call with 30 minute response time if in Cardiac Cath Lab.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Responsibilities

The Angiography Technologist will be an individual capable of assisting the physician during cardiac or peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, pacemakers and ICDs. He or she must possess the ability to perform radiographic work on several different types of radiographic equipment so that all work is completed in a competent, timely and efficient manner. He or she will assist with patient care and safety while the patient is in the Cardiac Cath or EP lab environment.

Long periods of standing are required with the use of lead aprons.

The Angiography Technologist will be responsible for rotating call for emergency procedures with a 30 minute response time if employed in the Cardiac Cath Lab.

Job Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Radiology Program
• Current certification with ARRT in diagnostic radiology
• Possesses a current license as a State of Ohio Radiology
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year recent hospital angiographic interventional experience
• Cath Lab experienced preferred but not required
• Live withing 30 minutes from hospital for call requirement
• Will consider new graduates
