Job summary

Kettering Health Dayton is seeking an Angiography Technologist to support the Cardiac Cath Lab in diagnostic and interventional procedures. The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiology program, ARRT in diagnostic radiology, and an active Ohio radiology license, plus BLS and ACLS within six months of hire.

The technologist will assist physicians, ensure patient safety in the Cath Lab, and work with multiple radiographic systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiology Program is required.
• Current ARRT certification in diagnostic radiology is required.
• Possesses a current license as a State of Ohio Radiology is required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician during cardiac or peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Perform radiographic work on multiple radiographic systems in the Cardiac Cath Lab to ensure timely and competent care.
• Assist with patient care and safety in the Cardiac Cath Lab or EP lab environment.
• Rotate call for emergency procedures with a 30 minute response time if employed in the Cardiac Cath Lab.

Job Responsibilities

The Angiography Technologist will be an individual capable of assisting the physician during cardiac or peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, pacemakers and ICDs. He or she must possess the ability to perform radiographic work on several different types of radiographic equipment so that all work is completed in a competent, timely and efficient manner. He or she will assist with patient care and safety while the patient is in the Cardiac Cath or EP lab environment.

Long periods of standing are required with the use of lead aprons.

The Angiography Technologist will be responsible for rotating call for emergency procedures with a 30 minute response time if employed in the Cardiac Cath Lab.

Job Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Radiology Program
• Current certification with ARRT in diagnostic radiology
• Possesses a current license as a State of Ohio Radiology
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year recent hospital angiographic interventional experience
• Cath Lab experienced preferred but not required
• Live withing 30 minutes from hospital for call requirement
• Will consider new graduates
