Job summary

Freeman Health System in Joplin, MO seeks an Anesthesiologist Assistant to join our Level II Trauma Center. You will practice a wide variety of anesthetics and procedures including spinal, regional techniques, arterial lines and central lines, with cases spanning general, ortho, neuro, ENT, GYN, robotics and pediatric patients.

The role emphasizes collaboration with supervising anesthesiologists, adherence to safety standards, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must hold degree/certificate from accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program.
• Verification of NCCAA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Practices current principles and practices of anesthesiology
• Maintains effective work relationship with anesthesiologist (supervisor)
• Communicates and cooperates to adequately staff the anesthesia department
• Provides sound practices and safe therapeutic care
• Promotes safe working conditions for patient and self
• Demonstrates initiative for self-development
• Accepts responsibility of tasks not delineated in job description
