Job summary

The U.S. Navy seeks a physician anesthesiologist to administer anesthesia and oversee perioperative care across diverse surgical settings. You will ensure patient safety, provide expert pain control, and support mission readiness in all phases of care both at home and abroad.

Candidates must hold an MD or DO from an accredited institution, be board certified or eligible, complete an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency, be a U.S. citizen, and be 21–64 years old.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution (or ECFMG).
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (or in final year of residency).
  • Completion of an ACGME accredited anesthesiology residency (or final year).
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ages 21–64 as per Title 10 U.S. Code sections 531 and 532.

  • Administer anesthesia and manage perioperative care across surgical settings.
  • Ensure patient safety, provide pain control, and support mission readiness.
  • Support care both at home and abroad across all phases of care.

Job description

Total Annual Compensation: $300,000-$360,000
