Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia seeks an experienced anesthesiologist to join Olean General Hospital in Western New York. You will be responsible for anesthesia management across a variety of procedures and collaborate with a collegial care team to deliver safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
• ECFMG and FLEX.
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
• Currently licensed as a physician.

Responsibilities

• Case assignments across General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, endo, vascular, GI, Urology, and Podiatry.
• Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Manage patients under anesthesia and assist with perioperative care.
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessment and obtain consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options with patients and obtain informed consent.
• Induction, maintenance, emergence, and monitoring of anesthesia.
• Respond to intraoperative events and coordinate interventions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements
