VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System in Reno, NV seeks a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join our dynamic surgical team. You will provide anesthesia across diverse procedures and contribute to perioperative care and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/Board-eligible anesthesiologist.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative exams and prepare patients for anesthesia.
• Administer general and regional anesthesia, and provide monitored anesthesia care.
• Ensure patient homeostasis during perioperative and critical care periods.
• Diagnose and treat painful syndromes.
• Manage and teach cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation methods.
• Evaluate respiratory functions and implement respiratory therapies.
• Supervise, teach, and assess both medical and paramedical personnel.
• Engage in research to enhance evidence-based practices.
• Provide direct patient care across OR, PACU, ICU, ward and non-OR procedures.
• Participate in administrative and quality improvement activities.
