Job summary

Geisinger in Danville, PA is seeking an anesthesiologist to provide pain relief during and after operations and to manage critical care patients. The role involves diagnosing pain conditions, supervising post-anesthesia recovery, and contributing to patient care in diverse settings.

Position features a shift-based schedule and no accrual of PTO or CME days. Board-certified or eligible physicians preferred; licensed in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

Job Summary

Trained to provide pain relief and maintenance or restoration of a stable condition during and immediately following an operation or an obstetric or diagnostic procedure. Also provides medical management and consultation in pain management and critical care medicine. Anesthesiologists diagnose and treat acute, longstanding and cancer pain problems; diagnose and treat patients with critical illnesses or severe injuries; perform direct resuscitation in the care of patients with cardiac or respiratory emergencies, including the need for artificial ventilation; and supervise post anesthesia recovery. Position works on a shift-based schedule and does not accrue PTO or CME days.
