The role offers collaboration with CRNAs, residents, and fellows in an academic medical setting, with diverse case mix including trauma, neuro, OB, ortho, and pediatric anesthesia.

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Anesthesiology required.
• Eligible for Louisiana medical license or licensed in LA.
• Completion of accredited anesthesiology residency program.
• Strong clinical skills across subspecialties.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice.
• Interest in academic medicine and teaching preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services across trauma, neuro, OB, ortho, and pediatric cases.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia services across multiple specialties including trauma anesthesia, neuroanesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, orthopedic anesthesia, and pediatric anesthesia
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), anesthesiology residents, and fellows
• Deliver high-quality perioperative care in a busy hospital setting with diverse case complexity
• Participate in faculty responsibilities within an academic medical environment
• Engage in optional research opportunities to advance anesthesiology practice and knowledge
• Maintain professional standards and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
• Provide on-call coverage as part of departmental rotation schedule

Job Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Anesthesiology
• Eligible for Louisiana medical license or currently licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana
• Completion of accredited anesthesiology residency program
• Strong clinical skills across multiple anesthesia subspecialties
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based anesthesia practice
