Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Anesthesia Tech to assist anesthesia staff before, during, and after procedures at the UAMS Main and One Day Surgery ORs. You will assemble setups, prepare machines, and perform basic tests while supporting the operating room team.

You will follow directions, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and uphold UAMS Core Values. Requires high school diploma or GED, 1 year of patient care (2 years preferred), PPE competency, and background checks.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of patient care experience.
  • 2 years patient care experience preferred.
  • Must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in PPE including N95, PAPR or CAPR.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on first day of employment.
  • Annual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse Testing.
  • Required documents: List of three Professional References (name, email, business title), Resume.

Job description

  • Assist anesthesia staff before, during, and after procedures requiring anesthesia
  • Work in the UAMS Main and One Day Surgery Operating Rooms
  • Assemble set-ups and prepare machines and equipment for use
  • Perform basic tests of machines and troubleshoot machine problems
  • Clean, replace tubing, stock carts, and turn over rooms between and after cases
  • Perform blood tests
  • Address resident and staff needs as a member of the operating room team
  • Follow directions from Anesthesia staff and the OR coordinator
  • Model UAMS Core Values in compliance with company guidelines
  • Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned
  • Report directly to the SPS/Anesthesia Tech Supervisor
Requirements
  • High School/GED
  • 1 year of patient care experience
  • Previous Anesthesia Tech experience preferred
  • 2 years patient care experience preferred
  • Must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment including N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR)
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Annual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse Testing
  • Required documents: List of three Professional References (name, email, business title), Resume
