Under general supervision, the Anesthesia Technician Manager will be responsible for performing various anesthesia specialized treatment procedures that will significantly affect the accuracy and reliability of further processes associated with the anesthetic course of the patient across the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium. This position will also be responsible for the day to day direct management of the Anesthesia Technician staff to include logistical support for the successful delivery of patient services within the Anesthesia Department. The position will support the Anesthesia Department.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of the English language including the rules of composition and grammar.
Knowledge of applicable federal/state laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and other operational guidelines and directives.
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or combination of education and experience.
Progressively responsible for professional work-related experience, education, or training may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education.
Non-supervisory –( 4) years of responsible Anesthesia Technician or Technologist experience.
AND
Supervisory – Two (2) years of Anesthesia Technician or Technologist supervisory experience.
Technologist Certification by American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or combination of education and experience.
Supervisory – 4 years of supervisory experience relevant to the programs being managed or leading to knowledge and skills that will ensure success in this position.

May be required to work outside the traditional work schedule.
May be called out to work off-shift in emergency situations.
Requires regular independent travel between ANMC and ASI.
According to the needs of the organization, some incumbents in this job class may be required to obtain specific technical certifications and programming language skills.
