The Anesthesia Technician II is responsible for providing assistance to the Anesthesiologists in a safe, appropriate and effective manner under the direct supervision of an Anesthesiologist. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: assembly, set‑up and troubleshooting of all anesthesia equipment including anesthesia machines and ventilators; stocking of anesthesia machines and carts with supplies needed for patient care; providing assistance for routine and emergency services to Anesthesiologists and licensed personnel, while working within the scope of practice; maintaining clinical equipment in the Anesthesia Department in working order, troubleshooting and communicating with service coordinators, bio‑med, vendors and Anesthesiologists regarding repairs and supplies; and providing in‑servicing of the OR staff in the use of clinical equipment and status of equipment as necessary.
