Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC, seeks an Anesthesia Support Technician to maintain anesthesia supplies and equipment, assist physicians and CRNAs, and support operation room turnover.

Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting carts and machines, stocking supplies, preparing medication orders, and coordinating with Clinical Engineering for repairs; strong English communication and ability to work under supervision are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year CSS or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to perform clerical tasks and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect anesthesia carts, machines, equipment and reusable supplies.
• Assist in liaison between physicians, CRNAs, PACU and operating room staff.
• Prepare medication orders for Pharmacy and restock shelves.
• Enter patient charges utilizing BCX system.
• Assist with patient transport and room turnover between cases.

Ensure proper inventory of supplies and location of equipment per physician or CRNA request. Provide aid to anesthesiologists or anesthetists prior to and during anesthetic administration.Major Job FunctionsThe following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job.
