Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Anesthesia Technician I to support the anesthesia team and surgical staff. You will help prepare and organize equipment, transport carts, assist with patient transfers, and maintain a safe, clean environment throughout the surgical journey.

This role requires a high school diploma, BCLS, hospital experience, and ideally CNA certification. Prior OR or anesthesia support experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BCLS license required.
• CNA license preferred.
• Previous hospital or healthcare experience.
• 1 year OR experience and/or Anesthesia Support role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need.
• Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe use.
• Helping patients by assisting with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devices.
• Acting quickly and confidently if an emergency happens.
• Keeping the environment clean and safe by following infection prevention and safety practices.
• Speaking openly with patients, families, and your team, always protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights.

As an Anesthesia Technician, you will work closely with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to help every procedure go safely and smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need

What qualifications you will need:

Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
