Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Longview, TX is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to maintain equipment and supplies for anesthesia, stock drugs in anesthesia carts in the OR, clean equipment, and assist with patient transport as needed.

You will perform a variety of support functions within the surgical unit, working under supervision and meeting competency expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Certified Anesthesia Technician preferred.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

• Cleans equipment prior to and after surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Responsible for cleaning and routine maintenance of anesthesia machines and equipment in the OR area.
• Works closely with Materials Management staff to order and maintain stock levels of supplies and agents for anesthesia.
• Cleans equipment prior to and after surgical procedures.
• Assists anesthesiologists as directed.

Education/Skills

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience

• 1 year of experience preferred

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• BLS required
• Certified Anesthesia Technician preferred
