Job summary

Wesley Medical Center is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team and surgical staff in Wichita, Kansas. You will help prepare equipment, set up carts, assist with patient transfers, and respond quickly in emergencies to ensure safe procedures.

The role emphasizes maintaining clean, ready equipment, protecting patient privacy, and collaborating with the surgical team to deliver high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative journey.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification through American Heart Association and American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
• Medical terminology
• Basic personal computer skills
• Medical supply knowledge

Responsibilities

• Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need
• Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe use
• Helping patients by assisting with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devices
• Acting quickly and confidently if an emergency happens
• Keeping the environment clean and safe by following infection prevention and safety practices
• Speaking openly with patients, families, and your team, always protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Anesthesia Technician, you will work closely with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to help every procedure go safely and smoothly. Your responsibilities will include

• Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need
