Job Description:The Anesthesia Technician is a vital member of the Anesthesia Care Team, committed to ensuring safe and effective anesthetic experiences. This role encompasses a variety of technical responsibilities, including cleaning and calibrating anesthesia machines, stocking supplies, and monitoring equipment quality. The technician is also responsible for transporting patients and performing routine patient care tasks, while providing critical support during emergency situations. Additionally, the technician assists with machine turnover and procedure preparation and may be required to be on call as needed. This position supports system-wide initiatives and offers opportunities for career advancement upon demonstrated competence and dedication.Shift DetailsPart-time, 24 hours/week. 12-hour shifts. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items (instrument sets of 25 pounds or less).Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
