St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson seeks a dedicated employee for ancillary support, ensuring equipment is functional and stocked. Responsibilities include providing on-call coverage for Open Heart Support and assisting Anesthesiologists.
BLS certification is required within three months of hire. The center offers a highly skilled healthcare team and is recognized for its compassionate service, providing a range of specialty and subspecialty services.
Responsible for providing ancillary support to the Anesthesiologists by ensuring all equipment is functioning properly, maintained and clean. Provides and ensures the department is stocked with supplies. Provides on‑call coverage for Open Heart Support.
Work requires the level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of two or three years of Education beyond high school or equivalent. Relevant experience preferred. Work requires the ability to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical or technical principles. Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain Hospital policies and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required within (3) months of hire.
BLS (Basic Life Support) required within (3) months of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.
