Job summary

UW Health is seeking an Anesthesia Tech in Madison, WI to support the anesthesia team in the Inpatient Operating Room and at off-site locations. The role involves maintaining anesthesia carts and machines, replacing gas tanks, and preparing supplies for preoperative and postoperative use.

The position requires 1 year of medical experience (preferred), and BLS/CPR certification (or within 180 days). Evening shift, full-time with weekend rotation, offering comprehensive benefits and growth

Qualifications

• No minimum education required.
• Associate's Degree as Anesthesia Technologist preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required or obtained within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist the anesthesia team prior to, during, and following patient procedures in the Inpatient Operating Room and all off-site locations.
• Check and supply anesthesia carts and machines, replace anesthesia gas tanks, disassemble used anesthesia equipment, disinfect machines, and supply carts, replace used products and prepare transducers for invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
• Assist with the preparation of anesthesia supplies both preoperatively and post operatively by cleaning, maintaining, packaging, ordering, and inventorying of anesthesia supplies.
• Demonstrate trust, respect, honesty, and caring attitudes with patients/families and other members of the health care team.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, 100% FTE, Evening shift. Monday - Friday between the hours of 6:45AM- 3:15PM, with weekend rotation. Weekend shift required hours would be scheduled 7:00am - 7:30pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
