Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a dedicated anesthesia tech to support the team across procedures in multiple locations. You will sterilize, maintain, pack, and resupply critical anesthesia supplies and emergency equipment.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of healthcare experience, with strong knowledge of proper cleaning, disinfecting, and anesthesia terminology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to complete skills validation and competency testing.
• Understands proper cleaning and disinfecting of anesthesia equipment; inventory and ordering to meet demand.
• Some knowledge of anesthesia equipment and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist the anesthesia team before, during, and after procedures in any location anesthesia is provided across Novant Health.
• Sterilize, maintain, pack, and resupply the most complex anesthesia supplies and emergency equipment.
• Work closely with the anesthesia team, nursing staff, and off-site resources while maintaining significant patient contact.

What You'll Do

• Assists the anesthesia team prior to, during, and after patient procedures in any location anesthesia is provided across Novant Health
• Proficient in sterilization, maintenance, packing, and resupply of the most complex anesthesia supplies and emergency equipment
• Has significant patient contact while assisting in procedures and works collaboratively with the anesthesia team, nursing staff, and off-site resources

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: 1 year of Previous experience, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Understands and practices the importance of proper cleaning and disinfecting of anesthesia equipment; inventory and ordering ability in order to meet supply and demand; some knowledge of anesthesia equipment and medical terminology.
