Job summary

CareWell Health Medical Center is seeking a skilled technician to operate and maintain anesthesia delivery systems and related devices. You will clean, assemble, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment, and restock anesthesia carts across OR suites.

Responsibilities include monitoring anesthesia-related devices, managing gases, and ensuring no expired supplies. Work under the supervision of the RN or anesthesia care provider to support safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Maintains and operates anesthesia monitoring equipment.
• Adheres to infection control and standard precautions.
• Handles anesthetic gases safely and follows safety guidelines.
• Able to troubleshoot anesthesia delivery systems and related devices.

Responsibilities

• Care of physiological monitors related to the administration of anesthesia.
• Aware of biologic hazards, infection control, and Standard Precautions.
• Aware of fire, electrical, and explosive hazards in the OR.
• Storage, use, and safe handling of bulk and cylinder gases.
• Usage of common anesthetic gases.
• Type and indications for MAC, regional and general anesthesia.
• Maintains and organizes the anesthesia environment, equipment, supplies.
• Follows the guidelines of TJC Environment of Care and Safety Goals.
• Disposes of used medications.
• Has technical knowledge and troubleshooting ability for anesthesia delivery systems, scavenger system, gas analyzer, EKG/pulse oximeter monitors.
• Make sure there are no expired products in the anesthesia carts.
• Restock anesthesia supplies, including adding missing supplies.
• Replace labels for medications.
• Replace batteries in laryngoscope handles.
• Update inventory personnel when more supplies need to be ordered.

Minimum Education/Certifications

High school diploma required.

Physical Requirements

On feet most of the time and moves heavy equipment.

Working Conditions

Exposed to unpleasant odors and communicable diseases. Encounters stress, crisis, emergencies, trauma and death. Interacts with health team members and other hospital and referral agency personnel.

Salary & Benefits

CareWell Health provides a salary/hourly rate range for all open positions to comply with New Jersey Law. The rates listed for each position is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member’s base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity). The salary range does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation, which can be discussed in detail with your talent acquisition specialist.

The salary/hourly rate range for this position is: $30.60
