Assumes responsibility, under supervision of Operating Room Leadership/Anesthesiologist and Registered Nurse, for the set-up and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and monitors supplies. Assists an anesthesiologist in delivery of anesthetic care for a specific group of neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, or geriatric patients in accordance with Surgical Services and Anesthesia Department’s established policies and procedures.

Education And Experience Requirements
Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
1 year experience as an Anesthesia Technician or 2 years’ experience as an Operating Room Patient Care Technician or equivalent experience
License, Registration, OrCertificationRequirements
Basic Life Saving (AHA or ARC)
Preferred: Anesthesia Technician certification from a National or State recognized professional organization which requires an accrediting exam.
Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant and/or EKG Certification
