Job summary

PIH Health Downey is seeking an Anesthesia Tech to support the surgical team in the Main OR. The role assists in case preparation, induction, extubation, and turnover, under supervision of anesthesia staff.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and at least one year of technician-related experience, with strong English communication and sterile technique knowledge to ensure patient safety and smooth operations.

Anesthesia Tech, Surgery - Main OR, Full time, 10:30am - 7pm

Reports to the Nurse Manager and is under the supervision of the Anesthesiologist during a case/procedure. Provides anesthesia support services throughout the medical center in conjunction with surgical and interventional procedures requiring anesthesia. The technician functions as a member of the anesthesia and surgical team. Assists in case preparation, induction, extubation, technical and functional support, and between case turnovers of rooms between procedures.
