Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking an Anesthesia Tech to support anesthesia and nursing teams in surgical and procedural areas. The role includes handling patient care, blood products, medications, supplies, and equipment during procedures to ensure safe delivery.

The technician will maintain OR and pre/post room readiness, assist in infection control, and participate in emergency response as part of the anesthesia team. A high school diploma or GED plus clinical experience is required.

Qualifications

• This position requires a high school diploma or GED with at least one year of clinical/hospital experience.
• Applicant must be proficient in speaking and reading English.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft systems.

Responsibilities

• Support anesthesia and nursing teams in surgical and procedural areas.
• Handle patient care, blood, medications, supplies, and equipment during procedures.
• Ensure proper patient identification for blood products and medications delivery.
• Maintain stocked ORs and pre/post rooms; prepare rooms for next case.
• Assist in infection control and respond to anesthesia emergencies.
