Job summary

Penn Medicine, a leading academic medical center, is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the Anesthesia Care Team in surgical suites. The role involves setting up equipment, restocking supplies, and participating in critical phases of anesthesia care to help ensure efficient patient care.

Responsibilities include preparing laryngoscope and IV setups, performing point-of-care quality checks, and assisting with intraoperative volume infusions under supervision.

Qualifications

• CPR is required for all applicants.
• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an Anesthesia Technician program or related program preferred.
• Certified Anesthesia Technician status is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide service where needed for the Anesthesia clinical provider.
• Set up OR for demanding cases including laryngoscope, intubation equipment, syringes, IV bags and warming devices.
• Perform quality control tests for point-of-care testing.
• Manage supply and inventory of equipment and report repairs as needed.
• Assist in preparation and draping for invasive monitoring and procedures.
• Assist anesthesia providers with intraoperative volume infusions as directed.
