Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an anesthesia technician to assist in acquiring, preparing and applying anesthesia equipment for safe administration. You will support routine and complex cases by preparing monitoring devices, delivery systems, medicines and supplies before, during, and after anesthesia.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college courses in anatomy/physiology preferred.
• Prior anesthesia tech or patient-care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ASAT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia providers by preparing equipment and supplies for operating rooms.
• Maintain and inventory anesthesia devices, drugs, and supplies; ensure sterility.
• Set up lines and assist with intubation and patient positioning under supervision.
• Troubleshoot equipment and respond to alarms; support safe anesthesia care during cases.
