Responsibilities

• Opens sterile supplies and prepares sterile fields following aseptic technique.
• Dons appropriate surgical attire and follows infection control protocols.
• Assists anesthesia team with procedures and safe medication practices, patient positioning and nerve block/endotracheal intubations as directed.
• May assist post-anesthesia care unit with patient care issues related to anesthesia.
