Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking an anesthesia support technician to stock and maintain supplies, equipment and drugs for anesthesia providers. You will prepare operating rooms, run routine lab tests, and maintain equipment, supporting OR teams and responding during emergencies.

Under general supervision, you will interact with physicians and nurses, handle lifting and moving of supplies, and complete a 180-day probation to learn policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in patient care environment preferred.
• Previous experience in equipment repair preferred.
• Verbal and interpersonal communication skills required to interact with other members of health care team.
• Physical ability to lift and move patients, supplies and equipment; walking/standing for long periods.
• 180-day probationary period required to achieve knowledge of policies relative to job duties and patient care unit.

• ASATT certification preferred.
