Job summary

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking an Anesthesia Tech to support Anesthesia & Perioperative Services in Vermont. The role involves direct patient care, equipment maintenance, stocking of anesthesia carts, and assisting with supplies and basic lab tests.

Qualifications

  • Previous patient care environment preferred.
  • Experience with anesthetic equipment and procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care within Anesthesia & Perioperative Services.
  • Maintain anesthesia equipment and supply carts.
  • Order supplies and run basic laboratory tests.
  • Collaborate with anesthesia providers, pharmacy, OR staff, labor and delivery, TSP, and pain clinic personnel.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Anesthesia Tech (AT) shall function within the policies and procedures of the organization, Anesthesia & Perioperative Services. This position encompasses both direct patient care as well as equipment maintenance, stocking of anesthesia carts, ordering supplies and running basic laboratory tests. The anesthesia tech shall work closely with anesthesia providers, pharmacy, operating room staff, labor and delivery, TSP, and pain clinic personnel. He/she helps to maintain a safe and clean work environment. The AT works under the direction of the Department of Perioperative Services with clinical oversight from the Department of Anesthesia.


EDUCATION:

High School or GEDThis position requires verification of your High School Diploma. Please be prepared to provide a copy should you be invited for an interview.


EXPERIENCE:

Previous patient care environment preferred.Previous exposure to anesthetic equipment and/or procedures preferred.
