Job summary

Heritage Valley Sewickley is seeking an Anesthesia Technician/OR Tech to support the Operating Room team. Responsibilities include daily cleaning and stocking of anesthesia areas and assisting with turnover between cases under direction from OR leadership.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and knowledge of sterile technique and medical terminology. Hospital computer systems understanding is preferred to aid in efficient workflows.

Qualifications

• Prefer computer knowledge and ability to use hospital information systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and stocking of areas where anesthesia is administered and the operating room.
• Assist with room turnover between cases and coordinate activities under supervision.
• Collaborate with CRNAs, OR staff, and Nursing Leadership to support surgical services.

Description

Department: Operating Room

Work Hours: Monday - Friday varying daylight hours

The Anesthesia Technician/OR Tech will coordinate their activities under the direction of the Director Surgical Services, OR Nurse Manager, Lead Anesthesia/OR Technician, Chief CRNA and MDAs. They will work in collaboration with all CRNAs and Operating Room, OB, GI Lab, and Cardiology Nursing Leadership. Their role is to perform the daily cleaning and stocking of all areas of the hospital where anesthesia is administered as well as the Operating Room. In addition they will assist with room turnover between cases.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent. Knowledge of basic sterile technique, medical terminology. Upholds Heritage Valley Health System’s values of Ethical Behavior, Responsibility, Compassion, Collaboration, Proficiency, and Service Excellence.

Preferred

Computer knowledge, hospital experience.
